WorldCall Signs MoU with University of Central Punjab (UCP) for setting up state-of-the-art Blockchain Centre of Excellence

University of Central Punjab (UCP), WorldCall Telecom Limited (WTL), and UK based World Mobile Group (WMG) have signed a trilateral Memorandum of Understanding for setting up state-of-the-art Blockchain Centre of Excellence at University of Central Punjab. The signing ceremony was conducted at the head office of WorldCall Telecom Limited on Friday October 22 and was covered by the electronic and print media.

A high level delegation from UCP led by Pro Rector Dr. Nassar Ikram along with Dr. Ahmad Shabbar Kazmi Dean Faculty of IT, Mr. Zubair Anwar Head UCP Centre for Professional Excellence and Mr. Abdullah Iqbal Deputy Manager Coordination & Technology joined this notable event. Management team of WTL including Mr. Babar Ali Syed Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Agha Mansoor Director, Mr. Effan Riaz Technical Director, Muhammad Azhar Saeed Chief Finance Officer, and Faisal Ahmed Executive Vice President Corporate Affairs received UCP delegation and arranged a guided tour to their technical facilities after the signing ceremony.

Talking to the media, Dr. Nassar Ikram, UCP Pro Rector shared that UCP has been gearing up to introduce modern technologies in their academic and professional education programs and the partnership of WTL and WMG would ensure that high quality and high technology based programs are in place to meet the requirements in technical and social domains. Mr Babar Ali Syed, WTL CEO, told the media that they were committed for the introduction of modern technologies in collaboration with UCP so that industry eventually benefit from Blockchain projects as well as produce highly skilled graduates and professionals to keep abreast with the emerging requirements of the industry in the new technology paradigm of 21st century. The support of WMG as a global technology leader in Blockchain would be a key success factor in this collaboration.
